Heaven and Earth will pass away, but my Word will never pass away.

Friends, I want us to take some time today, to talk about this “Heaven and earth will pass away…” we brought nothing here, and it is certain we will take nothing away.

1 peter 1:24 says “for all men are like grass, and their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers, and the flowers fall.”

In James 4:14, James asked this sensible question “…what is your life? It is even a vapour that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.”

Job also added in Job 14:7 that “for there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. But man dieth, and wasteth away; yea man giveth up ghost, and where is he?”

We are here for one purpose; To fear God and to keep His commandments; (Eccle 12:13). …therefore, flee the evil desires of your youth. 2 Timothy 2:22.

God will bring every deed into judgement, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil. And our secret sins are in the light of His presence. Psalm 90:8

It is good to go to school, have better job, buy cars, build houses, have a wonderful family, hang-out with friends, eat, go to church, and go for holidays, Etc. But Becareful, or your heart will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness, and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap. Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.

Remember this “…but my words will never pass away.” “But the word of the Lord stands forever”.  And by the same word, the present Heaven and Earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of Judgement and destructions of ungodly men.

The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise (that Heaven and Earth are reserved for fire) as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.  As you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming, bear in mind that our Lord’s PATIENCE means SALVATION.

The conclusion of the whole matter is Be happy young man, while you are young and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth. Follow the ways of your heart and whatever your eyes see. But know that for all these things, God will bring you to Judgement.

Be prepared to meet the King of kings. Jesus is coming soon.

I was on my way to see a colleague. All of a sudden, I found myself in a group of young guys at one corner. They asked me to give them all I had on me. Initially, I thought it was a joke but hey! Fear wanted to grip me. I kept myself under control and stood on the Word of God that says “… Be strong and courageous… No man shall be able to stand before you…” I wanted to show them how strong I was at that time.

While we were struggling, a light showed forth. It was a car. It wasn’t coming towards my direction but as soon as those guys saw the light, they fled. Some fell, some jumped, some said “you’re lucky” etc. At that moment, I remembered Psalm 91 “you will observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked”.

They didn’t know who was in that car, neither did they have any idea where the car was going, yet they ran. The light was so powerful that none could stand. I WAS SAVED BY THE LIGHT.

Psalm 27:1 says The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid of?

When your headlight is functioning well as you drive, you are sure of the way ahead. This means that when the Lord God Almighty is your light, your future is secured, and your success is certain. Your tomorrow is brighter than today, and you will be prosperous all the days of your life.

This is what gives me the Confidence that MY BEST DAYS ARE AHEAD OF ME because the LORD is the light of my life.

David said “…even though I walk through the valley of the shadows of death, I will fear no evil…” why?

The Lord was his light.

Wouldn’t you rather make the LORD the light of your Life?

God bless you.

“If you own a LION, you will never be afraid of a dog.”

Tell me what you do, anytime you see “Beware of dog” or “wild dogs inside” or “Mafia dogs inside”? I said “wooowwww!” when I saw “Beware of crazy dogs inside this house”.

In many cases, we “back off” when we see wild dogs. But if you own a LION, and you talk with it, play with it, etc., you see dog as just an ordinary animal.

This is what I mean: The devil (satan and his demons) are the dogs. They threaten us always; they keep us from reaching our promise land. BUT if we own a LION (If God be on our side), if we have God, we will never be afraid of satan and all his deeds.

1 John 4:4(AMP). Little children, you are of God (you belong to HIM) and have (already) defeated and overcome them (the agents of the antichrist), because He who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world.

Is there not a cause? I feel like writing books on this question because it has been a blessing for ages. Here are some of the questions I ask myself everyday that I live.

Is there not a cause for my presence on this planet this day?

Is there not a cause for going through the University?

Is there not a cause for joining facebook?

Is there not a cause for creating a group (DYING SOULS FOR JESUS)?

Is there not a cause for …………….?

Let me ask you too;

Is there not a cause for coming into that wonderful family?

Is there not a cause for doing whatever you are doing now?

Is there not a cause for going through what you are going through now?

In 1Samuel 17:28; When Eliab, David’s oldest brother heard him speaking with the men, he burned with anger at him and asked, “Why have you come down here? And with whom did you leave those few sheep in the desert? I know how conceited you are and how wicked your heart is; you came down only to watch the battle.” (NIV)

In V29, And David said, what have I now done? IS THERE NOT A CAUSE? (KJV)

There was a cause for David’s presence at that particular time; To kill Goliath but his brother didn’t know. I am here to inform someone that there is a cause for his/her existence in that family, school, business and even in that situation he/she finds himself/herself right now though others have no idea.

Don’t be intimidated by anybody and never be discouraged by anything. David knew he was a shepherd and was always attending to the sheep (1Samuel 16:10) BUT God had a specific purpose for his life. That applies to you also; wherever you find yourself and whatever you find yourself doing, do it with all you might, your strength. God is with you, to give you all the strength you need to win this race.

David was anointed from being a shepherd to a king, ruling a whole kingdom. And our Lord and Master Jesus was traced to him.

De Preacher (November 2010)

The first time I was told that my limitations are unreal, it made no sense to me because I believed that Fact is Fact. It is difficult to believe that a problem doesn’t exist when it stands right in front of you. BUT Hey! I was wrong and my whole perception about everything was wrong. I needed to renew my mind according to Romans 12:2.

Immediately, the eyes of my understanding were opened and I saw the Children of Israel right before the red sea; (Exodus 14). I saw them before Jordan River (Joshua 3). Again, I saw them behind the wall of Jericho (Joshua 6). I saw David and Goliath in 1Samuel 17, Elijah and the four hundred prophets of Baal (1kings 18:22). Elijah and Elisha before Jordan River (2kings 2:8). I saw Daniel (Daniel 6). Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and the fiery furnace (Daniel 3), I saw Esther and king Xerxes (Esther 2) and Jesus some few hours before He was arrested (Luke 22:42). I saw those walls before them.

Thank God none of them moved back. They faced what appeared to be their limitations. And as they got closer, those walls fell down flat. God told Moses to move on (Exodus 14:15) when the Red sea was in front of Him. As he stepped forward, it turned into a dry land (Exodus 14:21). The same happened on the Jordan River (Joshua 3:16).

Jericho fell down just by the shout of trumpets when they (children of Israel) obeyed God’s word (Joshua 6:16, 20).

David ran towards Goliath in 1Samuel17:48. Elijah stepped forward before he prayed for fire from above (1 kings 18:36). Esther went straight to the king’s hall and nothing happened to her. (Esther 5:2).

Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego all saw what could limit them, yet they stood firm. Jesus Christ felt the pains ahead of time but he moved on to carry the cross for you and me.

I don’t know what you see as giant before you. I may not have any idea about how terrible your situation is right now. But I came to tell you that if you can move ahead and see things from God’s perspective, then you would realize that those limitations are not real. Keep Moving FORWARD because God is on your side.

Seek First the Kingdom of God

“… Seek first the kingdom of God …” Matthew 6:33. Jesus talked about the things we need on earth. He knew man would have to put on clothes, eat, and drink. He knew a time would come for technology to develop so much that people cannot live without them, Yet He said we should not worry about them. Whenever I start to think about this particular verse in the Bible, the first question that pops into my mind is; How possible would it be for one to forget or pause all he’s doing and focus on God’s kingdom ?

What Jesus meant was that in all our daily activities, the first thing we should consider is God, Him (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. From the world’s point of view, it is impossible but as a child of God, all things are possible, and you can do all things through Christ who gives you strength. We would consult Him before we act.

Heaven is our home therefore it would be unwise to build for ourselves treasures on earth. Our focus must be on God and His Kingdom everyday. Before we make any decision, we must consult our Maker to see if that would please Him. Surprisingly, “we make God our last resort; we turn to Him at the last hour. We search for wives, riches, strength, happiness, families, etc. before God.” – De Preacher. When all hope is gone, that is when we turn to Him. In 1 Samuel 23 “One day news came to David that the Philistines were at Keilah stealing grain from the threshing floors. 2 David asked the LORD, “Should I go and attack them?” “Yes, go and save Keilah,” the LORD told him.”

God wants us to be happy and prosperous in all we do. He is not a heartless, and a selfish Father who loves to see His children suffering. No, He is not. He is generous, Kind, loving, compassionate, etc. He wants us to seek His Kingdom first. When we are living in His Kingdom, anything is Possible. He comes close to us, He lives in us, and He has a rich relationship with us through His Spirit. God feels so sorry for us when we spend time fighting and struggling for physical need. We fight for what will make the flesh comfortable and ignore the soul. Remember what Jesus said “ what good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Matthew 16:26 (NIV)

For us to make right decisions that would make us live better as we journey to Heaven, we must seek first the kingdom of God and  his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto us. Matthew 6:33 (KJV). In 1 John 2:15-17, we are told not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the father is not in him. For everything in the world – the craving of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does – comes not from the Father but the world. The World and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.

Do you want to live forever? Seek His Kingdom.

Jesus wants us to store our treasures in heaven as that is more rewarding. Everything we see would pass away. When Hurricanes, typhoons, earthquakes rumors come out, I see most people leaving their house, cars, businesses, etc on TV. To those people, the important thing, at that time, is their LIVES. Why can’t we pick lessons from those disasters? “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.” Matthew 6:19-20. (NIV)

We can seek the kingdom of God when we store our treasures in heaven. In other words, when we say no to the flesh and its desires, and make heaven our focus, knowing that everything on earth would pass away. “Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.” Matthew 6:21

Benefits of seeking God’s kingdom first:

  • Eternal life. we would live a righteous life and make our way through the narrow gate
  • Happiness. we would happily enjoy our wealth on earth.
  • Death would be a gain. we wouldn’t be afraid to die because we know that our greatest investment is awaiting us in heaven.
  • The flesh would be crucified: The flesh would no longer dictate for us.  we would be free from the law of sin and death
  • Better life in Christ: everything we do will prosper. Our lives would be testimonies for others.

Seek ye first his kingdom.
