Imagine Possibilities

It is said that “Knowledge is powerful tool” yet it cannot be compared to “the power of your imagination“. Do you know that you can achieve whatever you imagine?

creative force

Imagination can help you create your own world of possibilities and live in it. Often we do not take note of this and instead allow external forces or factors (like negative words from people who have no vision and purpose, expert reports, etc) to keep us bound with many limitations.

If you can SEE it, then you can HAVE it

And most importantly, the scripture says that “Now glory be to God, who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of—infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.” (Ephesians 3:20, TLB) emphasis added.

imagine is real

Whatever you can imagine is not too big for God as He has infinite resources to help you create the world of possibilities you want to live.

Do not be limited by what is on the outside because the ONE in you is greater, powerful, mightier, and wiser than any person, demon, or even the enemy (Satan).

Note that Nobody can limit the depth of your imagination but you.

It is good to acquire knowledge but know that what you can imagine is a driving force that can take you beyond the limit(s) created by the world system.

Finally, imagination brings hope and we know that Faith is the substance of things hoped…

If you can SEE it, then you can HAVE it

Sweet Fellowship with Daddy

cropped-our-god-is-love.jpgHaving a Sweet Fellowship with Our heavenly Father is the zenith you can reach in your walk with our Daddy (God). The scripture says that “And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him” (Genesis 5:24, KJV). Walking with Daddy has many benefits…first of all, I refer to walking with Daddy as Sweet Fellowship because it is the sweetest experience you would ever have on earth.

Permit me to draw a little contrast between our relationship people in power on earth and that of our Father in Heaven.

When it is getting to election, we see politician trooping into schools, churches, restaurants, joining public transports, etc in order to convey their message(s) to us. They beg us for Power. They use “We” to include you and I in their political campaign and they would do anything to make us believe that they would behave different when we give them power. During those times, you don’t need to follow protocol to meet them and every suggestion, comment, idea, etc is welcomed.

However, we (electorates) are often disappointed after they are elected as presidents, MPs, Senators, etc. because once Power has been given to them, its about them, their family and friends. They do what they think would benefit the majority that voted them into power. It becomes very difficult in seeing or meeting them as the gap between them and electorates widens. The relationship sometimes turns sour before they leave office. In summary, we vote for them…we give them Power, and some use the same Power against us.

Relationship with Our Daddy

We experience something different when it comes to Our Father. Here, He created us and close the gapmade the Sun to shine upon us in the day and the Moon at night. He provides the air we breathe and freely gives us the basic things we need for life. He created the Heaven and Earth, the sea, wild animals, etc. He knows and understands our lives better than anyone. He is The Most Powerful Person in the Universe. He assumed that Power by Himself and didn’t need us to vote for Him. He has remained Faithful from generations to generations. His tenure of office doesn’t expire and He has got the whole world in His hands. These are some few attributes of our Daddy who neither sleep nor slumber.

What is so fascinating about our Daddy is that He comes down to our level to communicate with us.  Yes, He does that everyday. In describing His Superiority, He said “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:9, KJV). The good news for us is that despite this gap, he says to us daily “Come now, and let us reason together” (Isaiah 1:18, KJV).

One benefit you enjoy in your walk with Daddy is the promise He made in Psalm 32:8 “I will guide you along the BEST pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you” (emphasis added). Three things can be seen in this promise:

  1. He will guide you (Guidance)
  2. He will advise you (Counselor)
  3. He will watch over you (Protector)

When you have The Most Powerful Person (Who knows all things, sees all things, and can do all things) guiding you, advising you, and watching over you, All things will work together for your good and nothing shall be difficult for you.

Lenny Leblanc sang “Don’t have to walk a million miles to find You, Don’t have to sail around the world to see. ‘Cause every time I lift my heart to praise You. There You are right next to me…“. Truly, our Daddy is closer.

How can one have this Fellowship?

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8, NKJV)

It is easy to have access to these benefits once you have Jesus as your Saviour. Remember that Jesus is the Only Way to our Father.

You can’t live in Sin and still profess Him as your Daddy.

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” (1 John 3:9, KJV).

So let go of anything that stands between you and Jesus. It could be a negative habit; a common lie, hatred, jealousy, sexual immorality, fornication, adultery, idolatry, drunkenness, drugs, etc. Regardless of how small or big your circumstance is, no sin and/or mistake is too big for Calvary.

Jesus said in Revelation 3:20 that “Look! I have been standing at the door, and I am constantly knocking. If anyone hears me calling him and opens the door, I will come in and fellowship with him and he with me.” (TLB)

Once you have Jesus Christ (as your High Priest), you gain access to our Daddy’s throne of grace. There you will receive his mercy, and you will find grace to help you when we need it most, according to the scriptures.

I have tasted and known how wonderful it is to have sweet fellowship with Daddy, whereby He tells me what to do, when to do it, and how to do it. He saved me from plots of the enemy and provided every need. When I open my mouth to make request in the Name of Jesus, He answers me. He doesn’t disappoint and always cause His children to triumph in their every day lives.

Come, let us enjoy this fellowship together. But if you are in Christ, Keep enjoying your life in Him. Jesus is coming

I Choose to Forgive

forgivenessA lesson I have learnt in Life:

Forgiveness is not for the other person. It is for you. The longer you hold on to the pains, hurt, disappointment, rejection, insults, assault, humiliation, or the past, the longer you hold yourself from being free.

Today is a new day so take a bold step to forgive yourself, and forgive the other person.

What if…?

Faithful and absolutely trustworthy is He who is calling you [to Himself for your salvation], and He will do it [He will fulfill His call by making you holy, guarding you, watching over you, and protecting you as His own]. (1 Thessalonians 5:24, NLT)

WhichWayA lot of times we are confronted with what if…? question, especially when we are at a crossroad of making major decisions in our lives. And it’s interesting that often what follows “what if” is negative. It is easy to answer when the question is being posed by someone else. However, it becomes difficult when we constantly hear our inner voices asking us What if…? In our closets, we hear questions like What if I die from this sickness? What if I fail this exam? What if this business idea fails? What if I lose in this deal? What if nobody likes my post? what if…?

The scripture says that God is faithful and absolutely trustworthy and He will do what He has promised you. In Jeremiah 29:11, God said “I will bless you with a future filled with hope—a future of success, not of suffering.” (CEV).  God has good plans for your future and I love how the Contemporary English Version translated Jeremiah 29:11; God will bless you with a future filled with hope. Hallelujah! What a mighty God we serve, Who through His Spirit constantly shower on our souls, bodies, and spirits with His lavish goodness.

What follows your “what if” question is critical in determining the steps you would take toward achieving the plans God has for your future.

If it’s negative, then you would remain passive. However if what follows your “what if” is positive, it would energize you to take bold steps, trusting in God’s faithfulness, to reach beyond your potentials.

Hence when the enemy tries to stop you from reaching your promised land by throwing questions like, what if I fail? What if they leave me? What if I don’t get the job? What if I don’t qualify? What if I die in the process? Etc, counterattack with positive response: what if I win? What if they stay close till the end? What if I get the job? What if I qualify to be the best? What if I survive till the end?

For instance when you ask yourself what if I win or succeed? You are sure that the consequences or results would be great and you would take the necessary steps, trusting in God that His promises for your future will come to pass.

God has promised to “bless you with a future filled with hope – a future of success, not of suffering.” If you remain passive, you aren’t going receive anything. The devil will hold you bound and keep you poor, sick, weak, sad, disappointed, rejected, etc. Be wise, be smart, be hopeful, and watch carefully what follows your “what if”.

Deepen Your Relationship with God

Everyone loves Google. One student told me that I love Google because it seems to know everything. He was so happy that he found answers to his assignment within 5 minutes of searching online. I was happy though but I asked him, ” Do you Trust the source of your answers? Are you sure everything Google produces is correct?”. Well, he couldn’t answer that so I guess he didn’t want to be discouraged by my questions. Google has made learning easier than it was in the ’80s and ’90s, and I use it daily to search for information.

A question that kept me thinking for hours was; Do I ask God for answers to many life challenges as often as I do with a search engine about academic and/or social life, regardless of how big or small it might be?

As I was pondering on why I would resort to Google for information, I realised that I had developed Trust that Google can provide information I need within seconds. But hey, there was a limitation as Google didn’t know everything. Google didn’t have information on some little town in a remote area I searched for.

Assessing myself deeply, I concluded that I don’t ask God for answers to life situations as much as I would easily pick my phone to search for answers online about petty things, or call friends to ask for their opinions about my situations.

dontworry_nivThe way forward was to learn to strengthen my relationship with God, through communion with The Holy Spirit. I started asking Him everything about my life…sometimes before I pick a device to search online. And most of the answers I get online confirm what The Holy Spirit tells me.

There is nothing too big or too small to discuss or talk to God about (like your bills, ailment, worries, debt, career, job, relationship with people, challenges in marriage, weakness, etc). He desires to have intimate relationship with us. And in this relationship, we gain more because He knows everything. He knows what would happen in our future more than we would remember what happened in our past.

Friend my life transformed from the day I chose to talk to Him about every details of my life and Trust the answers or directions He gives me. The Holy Spirit tells me what to do, how to do it, and when to do it. His timing is accurate and He doesn’t miss a thing. Sometimes when I am torn between two products at the grocery store, He tells me which one to take and why. I live a stress free life because I believe that He’s got my back and He is there for me 24/7.

In my conclusion, I would ask you some few questions;

How would you access your relationship with God?

Is it just about give me…give me…..give me Or you are in for intimate relationship?

Do you seek God’s view(s) about your life challenges or you are okay with people’s opinion?

Does God occupy the best place in your life?

If you don’t have deep relationship with God, you can start by asking the Holy Spirit to help you and direct you as to what steps to take. He is ready to help when you need Him.

Nothing could ever make you happier than an intimate relationship with your Father, who knows everything about the Universe and about your life.

Reach Beyond Your Limits (Part 2)

Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us.”  (Ephesians 3:20, AMP)

cropped-eagle.jpgGod created you to live prosperous life. His purpose for sending Jesus wasn’t only for you to spend eternity with him but also for you to live as a royal son/daughter on earth. He has showered so much blessings upon your life that whatever you decide to do prospers.

God doesn’t set limits or boundaries for us; they are set by ourselves. We build boundaries through the process of socialisation and the environment within which we grow or learn. We set these mental imageries that keep us bound for many years, if not our entire years on earth.

Sometimes physical situation(s) like sicknesses, disabilities, skin diseases, poverty, etc create limits for people. It makes them believe that they can’t achieve greatness like anybody else.

No matter what the challenge might be (mental imageries or physical challenge), God has a way of making you live a life of purpose. He has destined you to succeed in whatever you choose or decide to do.

In 2 Kings 7, we read of four lepers who were outcast. They couldn’t go into the city because of their ailment. They weren’t recognised by people because they (people) believed nothing good could come from them. In those days, there was famine in the city that led to anthropophagy. The Word from God was that “Tomorrow about this time a [a]measure of finely-milled flour will sell for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria” But nobody knew how that was going to be possible.

What made the promise come to pass was that these four “good for nothing” lepers defeated their fears, overlooked their ailment and decided to match toward the enemy’s camp for food. Two things I want us to consider are:

  1. They had a need, or goal, or mission
  2. They faced insurmountable challenge

Before they could have food, they had to face the enemy. And facing the enemy meant that there were either going to live or die. They didn’t have weaponry to fight and besides they were only four. Yet they chose to do the ordinary by walking to the enemy’s camp.

The Bible says that “when they came to the edge of the camp, there was no one there. For the Lord had caused the Aramean army to hear the sound of chariots, and the sound of horses, the sound of a great army. They had said to one another, “The king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come [and fight] against us.” So the Arameans set out and fled during the twilight, and left their tents, horses, and donkeys, even left the camp just as it was, and fled for their lives. v5-7.

When the lepers did the natural, God did the supernatural. When they did what they could, God did the extraordinary. It turned out that they achieved what they went for with less or no struggle. The greater part of the task was defeating their fears and deciding to take steps regardless of the outcome. I could imagine the kind of thoughts that ran through their minds as they walked towards the camp. But in the end, they became heroes of Samaria and God achieved His purpose through them.

When you take a critical look at your life, what are the challenges or roadblocks that stand before you? Could it be that you want a college degree but you don’t have the funds? You may not have enough money to pay for the fees but the little you have can pay for the forms or application fees. Go ahead and apply believing that God would do the supernatural. If it is about work, keep sending CV and apply and trust that God has an angle along the path to help you. If it is about marriage, new business, new market you want to reach, ministry you want to start, book you want to write, whatever it is that you want to do, my questions are:

What ordinary thing can you do today?

What steps can you take today?

What phone call can you make today?

What letter can you write today?

Where can you walk or drive to today?

Don’t let the enemy deceive you into thinking that you don’t qualify for that. Remember what Apostle Paul said “I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]” (Philippians 4:13, AMP)

Note that these lepers didn’t have the Holy Spirit on the inside so imagine what you (having the Holy Spirit inside of you and Jesus interceding for you) can accomplish if only you could do the natural or ordinary?
